Sports and health have been an integral part of my life since I was young. I started competitive swimming at a young age, and then changed my athletic interests to become a nationally competitive rower and elite level snowboarder. These experiences lead me pursue my college degree in Health Care Studies, which included strength, conditioning, and wellness. I attended Sierra Nevada College in Lake Tahoe and a local college in Buffalo and working in various health and athletic training facilities I found myself incorporating yoga into training practices and programs. It was the Baptiste methodology and philosophy that attracted me to the practice. To deepen my understanding and knowledge of self and yoga I began to explore Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga
I am a Certified Baptiste Teacher and Green Monkey Yoga 300hr Advanced Yoga Teacher Training, 500 E-RYT. I am a certified NASM Personal Trainer, Reiki Healing Level 1 & 2, and Certified SUP Yoga Teacher. I started SUP Yoga Buffalo May 2014 bringing my passion for yoga and boards together.
Most recently I finally took the dive into the path of Massage therapy and other complimentary modalities. A field I had been interested in since a young age when having massage to recover from injuries and surgeries. Now a graduate from The Costa Rica School of Massage or CRSMT, world known massage school.
“Committed to excellence, and maintaining the tradition of massage as an art form; the education at CRSMT balances the sciences of the human body, the artistic techniques of massage and bodywork, modern business strategies, and holistic lifestyle principles. An underlying acknowledgment and celebration of the human spirit creates personal and spiritual depth to the program.”-CRSMT
When I am not teaching in my hometown Buffalo, NY or at my second home teaching at in Playa Grande, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. I am traveling around the world leading yoga and SUP yoga retreats and workshops. Giving back is the most important thing I do and I am grateful that yoga, SUP yoga, and now massage that has given me the outlets to do so. Being of service for animals to humans, with events and programs like SUP for Pups.
